The Board for Lutheran Education Australia oversees the administration of the following three funds in support of Lutheran schools in Australia:
- Safe School Liability Fund
- Sick Leave Emergency Fund
- Lutheran Educators Transfer Fund
The Safe School Liability Fund (SSLF) exists to support Lutheran schools by sharing the burden of staff salary costs where a staff member is stood down on pay pending investigation.
The Sick Leave Emergency Fund (SLEF) offers conditional financial support to Lutheran schools impacted by the costs of teachers taking entitled Sick Leave significantly more than 15 days of legally entitled Sick Leave in any one school year. This support also assists schools in offering national portability of entitlement for staff in Lutheran schools. Membership of the SLEF is optional.
The Lutheran Educators Transfer Fund (LETF) offers conditional financial support for the relocation of educators appointed to full-time, permanent teaching positions in Lutheran schools in Australia, if the school of employment is a member of the LETF. Membership of the LTEF is optional.
