Accreditation

Accreditation is a key process through which the Lutheran Church of Australia ensures that those working in its schools understand and uphold its teachings. Our accreditation programs include:

• Connect – An accreditation and formation program for new staff in Lutheran education, that explores the beliefs, spiritual life and practicalities of these in Lutheran education.
• Equip – A professional learning program for teachers of Christian Studies in Lutheran education.
• Introduction to ministry in Lutheran Education – A workshop for ministry staff who have commenced their employment in Lutheran education.
• Leadership accreditation – a program to support emerging and current leaders through skill development and theological understandings.

Valuing Safe Communities

Valuing Safe Communities (VSC) integrates a range of national policies, procedures and guidelines that impact relationships in Lutheran schools and embeds the LCA Standards of Ethical Behaviour and related LCA policies within it to ensure that each member of the school community enjoys a positive, safe, healthy and respectful workplace. Leadership and Governance

Developed to support the continued professional development of teachers and principals, LEA offers four comprehensive programs.

• Leadership Development Program (LDP) – A two-year program that provides participants with theological and leadership studies which enable them to develop advanced skills and knowledge in leadership.
• Lead and Thrive – An online leadership development program specifically designed to support those currently in leadership positions such as director or supervisor in Lutheran Early Years Services.
• The Global Leadership Immersion program – A program that offers Lutheran Education Australia principals a formal job shadowing opportunity through an international exchange with colleagues abroad.
• Support for Governors and Board Members – A set of online resources to assist those in governance roles in Lutheran Education to understand and apply the knowledge and skills to effectively govern in a Lutheran setting.
